Salvation is a miraculous solution. It is “in the experience of merging in one gesture the transcendent with the immanent” that “perhaps the greatest miracle of the Pentecostal proposal of faith is engraved: survival in the midst of the marginality of life.” The gifts of the Spirit provide a democratic leveling, a sense of dignity, and empowerment.
